Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo at FDR with classical guitarist Javier Caballero, El Diamante Rojo.  Javier Caballero was born in a village called Zinapecuaro in the state of Michoacan, Mexico, and came from a very humble family. His ancestors were musicians. His father played guitar, his mother sang and all his brothers are musicians, too.

At 16 years old, Javier emigrated to the United States, where he grew up and developed his talent. He worked in the harvest fields of California in the Salinas Valley or as he called it " The Valley of Green Gold" for its variety of fruits and vegetables.  Here he learned everything from harvesting fields to operating heavy machinery, and it is also where he began to play his music. At the beginning of his career Javier imitated other artists but now he has found his own style and composes original songs. Playing guitar is Javier's passion. He loves to play classical Mexican music, ranchero, guapango, boleros, ballads and contemporary songs.

For Javier, life has not been easy, but music has helped him face it better. Over the past 10 years, he has played private parties, restaurants, and anywhere he is given the opportunity. He has recorded three albums, which are available for purchase  on his website. Please join us for an evening of beautiful Mexican music with this talented artist.

Most of the time presenting as stripped down and spare with just guitar and vocals, CarnyMusic also collaborates with other musicians. century and a half of American songs. They are as likely to play

fiddle tune. However, they might just dazzle with a collection of
originals. It all depends on set and setting. Come see the

TRIVIA and TACOS - Dante Ricci presents Interactive Musical Trivia

Join us this Tuesday at FDR for a live music trivia event!  In this new twist on pub trivia, your host (local musician Dante Ricci) will guide you through three rounds of music-based questions that will put your knowledge of bands/artists, TV theme songs, movie soundtracks, and pop culture to the test.  Dante will provide the music - your job is to answer questions, win prizes, and drink fantastic beer!  Stick around after the quiz when Dante will keep the fun going by playing your requests.

Dante was the lead guitarist for the NJ-based band Noah's Arcade and has performed with regional groups The Rearrangement, Some Assembly Required, the Jon Lall Band, Geneva & the Conventions, and the one-night-only blues spectacular known as Fake ID. He was a musician in residence at Winberie’s in the heart of Princeton, NJ, and has been performing solo or with bands at bars, coffeeshops, restaurants, breweries, and weddings for the past 15 years.  He loves nothing more than to entertain song requests, and he may even let you sing one if you know the words and you're bigger than him (which you probably are).

LIVE MUSIC - Fog Holler

The enigmatic Fog Holler first rose in he foothills of Echo Mountain, the product of an intense love of bluegrass and traditional American music shared by banjoist Casey Holmberg, guitarist Tommy Schulz, and bass fiddler Noa Laniakea. After years roaming those southern hills, honing their craft and spreading the high lonesome sound, they vanished. With the belief their music could be pushed further and harder, they retreated to the misty oaken hollows of Northern California. After months of silence, rumors of a spectral band that channel the spirits of bluegrass past and future have begun to spread  'round all corners of the deep Frisco Bay. The Fog is rolling in...
