Join us at FDR Brewery for our 3rd Annual Oktoberfest Celebration. The Taproom will be all decked out like a German Beer Hall and we’ ll feature live music and festivities including beer brats, pretzel necklaces, stein holding contests, and delicious beers brewed just for this special occasion.
For our Fest, We'll have three German Lagers on tap:
Our Award-winning "Helles Afraid We'll Take Over" Munich Helles, 5.3% ABV .... A clean, malt-oriented lager showcasing the grainy sweetness of Pilsner malt. Spicy and floral notes from Perle hops and a dry finish keep the sweetness in check, making it exceedingly refreshing. A perfect beer for everyday consumption. GigaYeast German Lager yeast.
Schwarz Sabbat (Black Sabbath) Schwarzbier, 4.7% ABV ... Pilsner and Munich malts form the base on which we deftly layer de-husked roasted malt leading to a smooth, yet crisp, dry, refreshing lager. German Perle hops provide just the right amount of spicy and floral notes. GigaYeast German Lager yeast.
Oktoberfest, 6% ABV ... Brewed in the tradition of Oktoberfest dating to before the 1990s when the beer at the famous Munich fest switched to a lighter style more akin to Pilsner or Helles. This amber hued gem is rich in notes of bread crust and toast from a grain bill of 100% Munich base malts. German Perle hops provide just a hint of floral and spicy notes, and GigaYeast German Lager yeast provides the smooth lager character desired in this quaffable festive beer.
All week we'll have festive Oompah music playing and our fun photo-op backdrop with props for your social media pleasure ... So, break out your Dirndls and Lederhose and come join the fun! You won't want to miss this party. Prost!
